What Is the Metaverse, and What Is the Metaverse Experience Like?
The Metaverse is the name used for what is summed up as internet 3.0, or, put most simply, the 3-dimensional internet. When we connect to the internet with Metaverse glasses, we connect to a new reality in 3 dimensions instead of the 2 dimensions we are used to.
In other words, when we look at a TV, computer or mobile phone screen, we see 2 dimensions on the screen: length and width. When we connect with Metaverse glasses, depth is added to these. So when connected to the metaverse, we stop being viewers of a screen and step inside the universe we are connected to. In the universe we are connected to, when we look down, up, right, left and behind us, we can see everything we would expect to see in the real world. If we have the necessary devices, we can touch things and interact with what we touch.
It seems inevitable that this will be one of the most extraordinary experiences in human history. Because in a virtual and augmented reality environment, a new reality has been created, and it may even become possible to question the realities we call real.
